Philanthropy at Work
There’s no better way to show how philanthropy makes a difference than in the care we provide for our community. At the Donald Reed Speech Center, there’s a brand new Iowa performance Instrument to help treat patients with swallowing disorders. We purchased a new EKG machine with interpretive monitor which saves time and reduces errors — plus 20 Curlin PainSmart pumps, designed to administer and monitor pain medication with ease. To date, nine employees have gotten their degrees through our Nursing Promise Scholarship. And best of all, we raised over $60K for the Pain Center, and over $20M for our new Emergency Department. That’s philanthropy at work.
The Annual Fund
The core of our fundraising, the Annual Fund provides Phelps Memorial Hospital with critical unrestricted funds to continue upgrades to the facility, invest in the latest technology, as well as fund patient care programs and services. Consider making your unrestricted gift to the PMHC Annual Fund and be part of the community that provides the highest quality patient care and supports important research.
