Food & Wine Fest
Sunday afternoon, March 22, 2015, 12 Noon – 4 pm
Trump National Golf Club, Briarcliff Manor, NY
This unique afternoon event will feature elegant dining stations hosted by exclusive local restaurants. Wines at each station will be personally selected by the chef to complement the food. Enjoy interacting with restaurant staff and learn about the food and wine pairings.
A highlight of the fest will be cooking demonstrations by Waldy Malouf, the highly accomplished chef, restaurateur and author. For 15 years, Malouf was co-owner, chief operating officer and executive chef of Beacon Restaurant in New York City. In addition to running Beacon, Malouf is known in the New York area for his time as executive chef and director of operations at the Rainbow Room and executive chef at the Hudson River Club and Le Cremaillere. His extensive professional experience also includes affiliations with The Four Seasons, La Cote Basque and the St. Regis Hotel. Malouf has been the recipient of many prizes and accolades for his outstanding work. His expertise and extraordinary cuisine led to the Rainbow Room’s receiving a three-star rating from the New York Times. He is currently senior director of food and beverage operations at The Culinary Institute of America.
The event will also feature a Beer Garden presented by Half Time will off an extensive array of 12 international beers from 6 countries. Half Time is the world’s largest beer retailer, located in Mamaroneck, NY. The Beer Garden will also have a Belgian Waffle Station, Bavarian Pretzel Booth and Walter’s Famous Hot Dogs!
Participating restaurants will include: 105 Ten Bar & Grill, Crabtree’s Kittle House, Elia Taverna, Great American BBQ, Iron Horse Grill, Jean-Jacques’ Culinary Creations, Mambo 64, Memphis Mae’s, Provisions, River Market Kitchen and Bar, Sam’s of Gedney Way, Tarry Tavern, Tavern at Croton Landing and Trump National Golf Club. Beverage participants include Coffee Lab Roasters and Half Time, and wine will come from Grape Expectations.

The cloudy weather on Monday, June 9, 2014 didn’t put a damper on the 11th Annual Phelps Classic. Ninety-eight golfers enjoyed a day on the course at Sleepy Hollow Country Club followed by a special dinner overlooking the Hudson.
The event raised $133,000.

Champagne Ball 2014 Review
The 27th Annual Champagne Ball honored Lawrence Faltz, MD, Phelps Senior Vice President for Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer. The gala’s theme “Looking Forward,” refers to the ongoing growth of Phelps’ services and facilities, which continues to benefit from Dr. Faltz’s leadership. Held November 8, 2014 at Trump National Golf Club in Briarcliff Manor, the ball raised $440,000 in support of the hospital’s services for the community. Ball Co-Chairs were Pam and Dr. Paul Terracciano and Laurie and Dr. Franklin (Bud) Zimmerman.
A surprise guest was John Sebastian, a founder of The Lovin’ Spoonful, who delighted fans by performing songs he and his band made famous in the 1960s.
