Respite Program

Respite Care is a safe haven for individuals whose caretakers are temporarily unavailable in an environment that stresses comfort, safety and companionship. A place to turn for people with primary responsibility for the day-to-day care of another.

Caretakers can feel confident about taking a day off or spending time away when their loved one is under the care of our experienced nurses.

Two programs are available:

Respite Care for Seniors: For individuals aged 60 or older who are able to attend to most daily needs with a minimum of assistance.

Special Needs Respite Care: For people aged 18 and up who require assistance with day-to-day activities. Special needs are met for individuals requiring respirators, suctioning or tube feeding, wound or colostomy care, administration of medications, special diets or on-going therapies, as well as individuals with incontinence. Those with Alzheimer's are evaluated on an individual basis.

Stays can be from one day to two weeks.
