At your first visit, your general medical health will be assessed by our physicians, nurses and technicians. Tests to determine the blood-flow to your wound site may also be performed. This information will help your wound care team prepare the best course of treatment for you.
Your wound care treatment may require regular follow-up visits to the Institute. Your healing progress will be closely monitored and assessed for possible changes to further speed your progress. If you need specialized treatment, your Institute doctor will select what is appropriate for you. Your primary physician will be kept informed of your wound care treatment and healing progress.
Your active participation with the Wound Healing Institute medical and nursing staff will help to ensure that the wound care treatments are successful in healing your wound.
