Health for Life Program (HeLP) for Seniors6 Wednesdays beginning October 1, 2014
A series of six workshops designed to help seniors manage their health. The workshops are given by specially trained volunteers who provide participants with strategies to modify their behavior. Techniques are shared to handle pain, frustration and fatigue. Participants also learn how to use medications correctly and better communicate with their families and healthcare providers.
Developed at Stanford University’s School of Medicine, the program is funded by New York State’s Office for the Aging through the Westchester County Department of Senior Programs and Services.
This six-week program begins Wednesday, October 1 from 10 am – 12:30 pm and continues on October 8, 15, 22, 29 and November 5.
Registration is required. To register, call Ellen Woods at 914-366-3937.
